Have you seen The Knot's 2027 Wedding Trends Report yet? It dropped last week, and it's the kind of thing that gets the whole industry talking. Here's what I love about it: it tells us where weddings are heading next year, and when you pair that with what Pinterest shows us people are searching for right now, you get something genuinely powerful. A pinning plan that works today and sets you up for next year.
What couples are searching for right now
Fall is in full swing on Pinterest, and the data this month practically makes your to-do list for you:
- Fall everything. Fall engagement photos, fall wedding cakes, fall bouquets, and fall wedding nails are all climbing.
- Engagement season. Summer proposals are turning into real planning, so newly engaged couples are searching hard.
- Unique weddings. "Non traditional wedding ideas" is up 300%. Couples want a day that feels like them.
- Homecoming flowers (florists, this one's for you). "Hoco bouquet" and "corsage ideas" are up over 1,000% this month.
Where weddings are headed in 2027
A handful of trends from The Knot's list are worth pinning early, before they peak:
- Sophisticated, moody color. Burgundy, deep green, plum.
- Antique lace. On everything from veils to invitations.
- Whimsical, oversized florals. Statement blooms that take over the room.
- The silver age. Cool-toned silver replacing gold.
- Unconventional venues. Private estates, family homes, restaurants.
- The wedding brand. Love stories told like a brand launch, with cinematic photos.
