📌 Pin Talks: The Q4 keyword library that runs itself

Hi Reader,

Last week you batched your Q4 content in one afternoon. This week we build the invisible engine underneath it: the keyword library that takes the guesswork out of every future pin session. If batching is the work, your keyword library is what makes the work sustainable.

In this week's newsletter…

  • What a Q4 keyword library actually is, and why every serious wedding pro has one
  • How to structure yours without turning it into a spreadsheet nightmare
  • Pro tips for finding fresh Q4 phrases you haven't already used
  • A free companion resource this week: my Pinterest Content Calendar
  • Nina Addeo's Back-to-School workshop is 9 days out

Building Your Q4 Keyword Library

A keyword library is a working document where you keep every search phrase your ideal couple is actually typing into Pinterest, organized by category. Not a spreadsheet you build once and forget. A living document that runs quietly in the background of every pin session for the rest of the year.

Structure it in four columns:

  1. Primary keywords: evergreen phrases central to your niche ("Charleston wedding photographer," "small backyard wedding ideas").
  2. Q4 modifiers: seasonal adds ("fall," "winter," "holiday," "engagement season," "New Year's Eve wedding").
  3. Long-tail combinations: the primary + modifier stitched together ("Charleston winter wedding photographer," "small backyard fall wedding ideas").
  4. Intent tags: mark each as aspirational (she's dreaming) or transactional (she's buying). Different intent needs different pin design.

Set it up in Notion, Airtable, or a plain Google Sheet. The tool doesn't matter. What matters is that when you sit down to design pins next month, you're not staring at a search bar wondering what to type. You're pulling from a working list.

One quick companion note: the other half of a keyword library is a calendar that tells you when to publish those keywords. (I built one for you.) The Pinterest Content Calendar maps what to pin and when, based on when couples are actually searching for what you do. It's free through the middle of September inside a wider bundle of small-business resources, and I've kept the claim details in the P.S. so they don't clutter the teaching above.

PRO TIP

Tag by season AND by board so you can quickly pull what's relevant for any given batch. Refresh the library monthly, not weekly and not quarterly; the platform changes fast enough that quarterly is stale, but weekly is a full-time job. Pair every keyword with an example pin title you've either already used or plan to write, so the library doubles as a content bank.

Hit reply and tell me: do you have a keyword library, a keyword doc, or are you Googling every time you write a pin title? No wrong answer, I'm just curious where the list actually sits.

A keyword library is what separates strategic Pinterest from reactive Pinterest. That difference shows up in October, not this week.

Dana

P.S. My Pinterest Content Calendar is currently free as part of the 6 Figure Bundle: sixty-five-plus resources from people teaching systems, finances, content, and operations for service businesses. Most of the bundle is built for online service providers, so take what translates to your wedding business and skip the rest.

Build a Pinterest Content Strategy That Works When You Don't

A keyword library is the invisible engine behind the "works when you don't" idea. It takes the guesswork out of every future pin session so your Pinterest can keep producing whether you're at a venue, editing a gallery, or actually taking a Sunday off.

A little fun fact:

Did you know?

Long-tail keywords on Pinterest convert two to three times better than broad head terms, because searchers who add modifiers ("Charleston fall wedding photographer" instead of just "wedding photographer") have significantly clearer intent by the time they type. The library structure above is designed to surface those long-tails on demand.
