Spring engagement season starts here (not on Instagram)

Hi Reader,

It’s easy to confuse motion with direction.

For a long time, I did.

I built visibility systems that created activity. Traffic increased. Analytics moved. Notifications pinged. There was undeniable motion.

But motion isn’t the same as direction.

More views.
More saves.
More content.
More noise.

And yet the question remained: “So… what should we do next?”

That realization changed how I approach marketing forever.

Most wedding pros don’t need more marketing. They need clearer direction.

Here’s what’s happening right now:

  • Spring engagements are coming.
  • Proposals are being planned.
  • Mood boards are being built.
  • Venues are being searched.
  • Budgets are being discussed.

And most of that is happening quietly.

On Pinterest.

Not because it’s trendy.
Not because it’s loud.
But because it’s where planning begins.

If Instagram feels louder than profitable right now, it’s because it was never built to capture search intent.

Instagram captures attention. Pinterest captures demand.

There’s a difference.

Couples don’t open Pinterest to scroll. They open it to decide.

That’s why this season matters so much.

If you show up now, you become part of their planning process.
If you wait until they inquire, you’re competing at the end of the decision cycle.

One of the biggest mistakes I see during engagement season is this:

Vendors start posting more.

More reels.
More carousels.
More trends.
More energy.

But without interpreting search behavior, it’s still motion without direction.

That’s why my work always starts with interpretation, not tactics.

Inside the VEIL Audit, we look at:

Visibility – Are you showing up where couples are actually searching?
Evergreen – Is your content built to last through seasons?
Intent – Are you aligned with buying behavior?
Leads – Is your ecosystem guiding them toward inquiry?

Because clarity is what turns pins into proposals.

Not volume.

But if you’re reading this thinking, “I need to know what this looks like for my business specifically,” then your next step isn’t another post.

It’s clarity.

Because spring engagement season doesn’t reward the loudest.

It rewards the clearest.
